In the past weeks EMC measurements have been done on the URE04. These measurements gave us information on the noise on our signal and power lines. The results will be used to improve the wiring on the URE05. The data showed that our CAN system is virtually noise free, but the sensors in our engine experience serious interference.

We got our first part for the dry sump system in: a cast sump from our sponsor ProtoMetals. The part was sent in as a 3D model. This model was produced using rapid prototyping. A mold is made around this model and finally the metal is cast in the mold, destroying the rapid prototype and leaving a cast part. Because it is cast a lot of the oil lines can be integrated in the part, saving space and making it easier to assemble.
As soon as we finish our plexiglass dry sump tank we can start testing the dry sump system. The see through plexiglass makes it possible to see if our design works as intended.
